I am on another of my annual "I need new wheels" processes (so far I always end up deciding I like my stock TT wheels enough that I don't want to spend the bucks to upgrade.
I was at Wheel Enhancement Friday, and noticed an Advan Racing GT wheel that is intriguing to me (I like either the silver or grey, but I am not a fan of black wheels). The only other wheel that I seem to be drawn to is the Champion RS184 wheel but still not sure about that (last pic below).
I believe the Advan is a well made, high quality wheel, but I don't recall ever seeing it on anyone's pcar, and wonder if it is better suited for ricers.
I think you've answered you're own question; if you're thinking they might look better suited to a tuner styled Japanese car then they do (and I agree). Concave 5 spokes suit an R35 more than a 997 T. Personally I like the 8/10 spoke wheels better, but I do like the deeper 5 spoke designs, such as these (although they may suit black better than silver).

Lmao...... If you like them why not just get them and don't worry about the "ricers"
I'm kind of liking the Advans !
Would love to see a car with them .
I've never considered myself as having a ricey taste especially in wheels . I definitely think they would work .
I like them. And relax about the "Ricer" statement. Do we have to be so politically correct here? So maybe the Champion wheels are "Cracker" wheels? Really? And chrome 20's are "ghetto"? Who cares..
I run Advan RZ-DFs on my 997tt and think they suit Porsche well. I like the GTs but I don't think they come in Porsche fitments and only 20" sizes are currently available. The TCIIIs do come in Porsche sizes and are a similar style.
I just figured at this 'level' we could do without the low brow racism.....it's pretty 20th century
I'm sure they're are people who could do without objectifying women in avatars. Maybe you should consider your own actions before getting on other people for theirs.

I know, someone always shows up trying to say "well what about......." it's always the same.......
trying to disarm the guy speaking the truth by asking such questions: I'm certain we'd all love to see sexy women in av's rather then racial quotes and slurs.......I honestly hoped for more out of the wealthier more educated folks that freq this forum: myself not included....
The car is simply amazing Igooz: it's like a rolling chair that reclines with many luxuries and a beautiful interior; that's where the car really shines: the exterior is pretty good, kind of plain and understated, but when you open the door it's incredibly posh inside
OP....jcensq, I have a 6" stack of unread car magazines (I am 3 months behind) and in the Hot Rod magazine came across a Dodge Challenger with SSR wheels which are nearly the same as your Advans. Japanesse wheels on an American cars. Looks really great. I don't think that you can go wrong with the looks.
