It's a shame, but it does make sense to lock it down. Although I do like to watch people put their VIN in a post and watch you guys answer

Kinda the board version of the people who reply all to broadcast emails lol

It is not IN the VIN, but if you use the VIN to decode the build, it will list the color options etc..
