The only thing i noticed is my cap had a little residue when taking it off after driving the car the entire weekend. I am 100% no coolant leaked, i measured the coolant tank. I have no coolant on the floor.

You got to love these Porsche mysteries ,as mutiple people have the same issue. Still not as bad as trying to find every oil leak on my 86 930!!!!

I found the video that explains the coolant problem on the 997TT.

I essentially just got the same information from my service advisor, though I do recognize we may have different problems here (my car is a C2S). Have them check your heater core to see if it or the pipes that connect to it are leaking. Same thing for me in that my car passed the pressure test, no signs of leaks, coolant tank shows a normal level. I am thinking that my heater core was leaking before and that there is just some residual coolant in my A/C system that needs to dissipate (they replaced the heater core on my last visit as faulty/leaking). I wish I had a complete answer today but they are giving the car back to me for now. They did install an air cleaner on my pollen filter to mask the smell for the time being. I'd rather get to the bottom of things but I am not sure what else I could ask them to do. My SA said this is the first time he's had someone with my issue. My CPO does go for another year plus so I imagine I'll be back at the dealer if the smell doesn't dissipate. Please let us know if you figure anything else out!

Flyjets, thanks for that video that could easly explain my problems

Sharkster, wish you guys were closer thx for the video

Macduff, I been told at the dealer they never seen this problem on a 997...... seems contradictory as many others have or are currently experiencing same issues

Meanwhile, im still waiting to hear back from my SA

Good to know...thx for the warning. Although this may vary depending on the relationship you may have with your dealer. I have heard some are mod friendly, but that varies.

I am in the same boat as you - just bought my '08 997.1TT last November but I only got to enjoy it for a few weeks before I put her away, so I don't know if I have any coolant leak issues. I too have a 2yrs of CPO on my car. I will keep an eye out come spring.

Hope they resolve this for you.

Well I will see if I can get to my leak from the top. From what I have read, engine must be lowered at least several inches. I got the tools and jacks. Funny thing is I just got my FVD flash and was wanting to instal it but this came up. If the car got hot before imagine now?

Great news!

Did they tell you where it was leaking from?
