Default Would you buy this 997 Turbo?

Is being sold by a dealer, has 25k km, and is CPO. However, it has been in an accident that required $20k of repairs (dealer was upfront about the accident). I figure car is only priced about $5-10k lower than a "no issues" car. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't buy it... Maybe the car is fine but whenever you decide to sell it is gonna be a mission...

Do not buy. Keep looking. You do not want to own a car with that type of history.

a. a 20k repair bill can be a very minor hit, that alone wouldnt stop me but
b. the discount is way too small to clean retail.

The attached link from Porsche indicates that it's CPO vehicles are "history free from negative information", which doesn't jibe with what you've been told by this dealer. Was the repair documented in a carfax report? I'd walk away from the deal myself because of potential resale concerns.

No.

There are plenty of non-accident turbos out there. Why take the chance when you don't have to do so?

Thanks everyone - I totally agree with the comments. Not going to pursue this one any further.
