We have just released our latest software delivery tool called the My Genius Handheld Programmer. Programming with this tool is a simple, guided experience that requires little user input and about an hour or two at the most. It is a simple process by which you read out your vehicles original software file with our handheld software tool. You then connect the tool to a computer via a USB port and email the downloaded software to us; we alter the original file and send both the back via email. Some of you have heard this before, right? But wait, here is the added benefit….

Our software delivery tool is the latest technology and is a stand-alone unit that does not interface with Windows®. It uses its own operating system (OS) so there is ZERO likelihood of software files being corrupted through Windows® or even Mac (booted in Windows) for that matter!!

The My Genius unit also has an added safety feature which creates a Recovery Point during the writing process. So in the event that the car battery dies, simply hit the reset feature and the software starts to write from the Recovery Point. If you were using a cable based delivery tool the ECU would have been damaged and you would be stuck until you purchased a new ECU and coded it to the car.

Anyone have any real world experience with this tune? The pricing sure looks good. Also, this contradicts what I had been led to believe, that the dealer can always tell if the car has had a tune. Is their claim right that a car can be re-flashed back to stock with the provided tool and the dealer could never tell? As an 09 TT owner with a CPO for the next 2 years this claim is really important.

that softronic tune was a great deal.. but an FVD tune is on another level...

Do you have this tune? Care to share your experience?

I was set on the Softronic but then I saw this. I have always read of FVD as a reputable shop.

Would love to hear some feedback from those that have this tune.

Just had this tune installed and paid full price! It's ok because it's worth every bit. It turned my turbo into a raging beast. Very powerful and smooth.

My turbo is a tip!

I recommend it! 100%!

i dont have FVD's tune.. my car came with an APR tune...
i am upgrading my turbos this spring so it doesnt make sense for me to retune the car.. but if i was stock, i'de go with FVD...

i have an FVD exhaust and you can tell what this company is about just by looking at the crafsmanship of their exhausts...


FVD is no joke... remember, unlike EVERY other tuner.. FVD ONLY tunes porsches...

If I were confident that I wouldn't get sideways with my CPO or the Calif emissions police I'd pull the trigger, this is a smoking deal it would seem....

This is the real deal, I've had it on this car for over a yr, been to the dealer numerous times w cpo stuff, zero issues.

Does this tune raise any rev limiters?

(thinking about it triggering additional range 1, range 2 over-revs)

This looks like an awesome deal!

Rev's are raised by 200rpm but I think you can request for the stock rev limit from memory.

Nope no plugs required, but a decent exhaust will obviously help you free up some more power.

I spoke with my dealer about this, and they absolutely can tell if the car has been tuned or not. Whether they wish to honor the CPO is up to them. I'm in the same boat bc my car is under CPO until July 2015.
