coolant leak
2007 997.1tt with 44K miles. The car has sat most of the winter in the garage. I finally pulled it out today for a jaunt and noticed a liquid underneath. It is coolant and is coming from the front of the engine compartment. Cant figure out where beyond that.
After a search on the forum I could not find anything about coolant leaks on these cars, but know about the problem with Cayennes. Is there a common failure with the coolant lines in the front of the engine that anyone can help me understand?
I had a leak from my front differential last June that resulted in a $7K repair. I am hoping this one is not as bad as that.
Thanks

Jerry,
Thanks for the link and for the photos you always have under your name. I filed a complaint the the NHTSA though I have not confirmed that my problem is the epoxy failure, I imagine that is exactly what it is. How could Porsche put such a poor solution on such an amazing car otherwise? I

I don't know, they do some cheap crap sometimes. My car was built in 07 and it has friggin phone Sim Card slot, why the hell didn't they just put blue tooth in?? Im surprised the 991 doesn't still have a tape deck in it.

Could be coolant lines/fittings. More likely though based on your post it is the water pump.
You'll not diagnose the leak though until the car is in the air and a tech has a chance to inspect the car. He'll check all the possible leak sources and draw a pretty reliable conclusion.
