Default "Check front right side light" error - LED turn signal

I have a 2007 turbo and I just got the error "Check front right side light" and noticed that the light at end of the LED is no longer lit. The LED turn signals work fine, its just that light at the end which comes on anytime your headlights are on. Can this bulb be replaced without replacing the whole unit?

Thanks,
Justin

yes, there is one screw to release the lamp and then unscrew the back and you'll have access to the bulb

Yes. I replaced mine with blue/white LEDS. Its a nice combo with the warm turn signals.. Super easy install. The instructions are in your manual..

Replaced one, despite my inferior DIY skills.

Replace with LEDs on the side markers and fog lights as well. but then the OEM Xenon's will look too yellow so you'll need to upgrade those too. Here's mine with all LED's and the Phillips Ultinon HIDs

You car looks awesome Art...No scuffs on the spoiler lip? C'mon already! You really need to refinish your driveway. It takes away from the car..

You upgraded your headlights? What did you do?

LOL!! Are you kidding? Lowered car, of course I got scuffs. I'm just OCD and use an exacto knife and 1000 grit sandpaper to smooth out the scuffs!!

As for the HIDs. The OEM HIDs are 4300K and once I swapped the front and side lights to LEDs the OEM headlights were strikingly yellow. Hated the look. So after much research I settled on the Phillips Ultinons 6000K HIDs (Phillips is OEM for Porsche). They give a nice white light with subtle violet hue. The swap is super easy once you know how to remove the headlamps but if you do this don't go to the 8000K or 10000K bulbs, they have purple to blue hues and the brightness drops quite a bit so your night time visibility will suffer

Finally, there are tons of fake Phillips ultinons out there. The first set I bought were counterfeit and sold by a "respected" vendor. I posted about it on 6speed. PM me if you want to know where to buy the real bulbs. The fake ones will not color match, have low light output and can damage your headlamps because they are not UV coated

thanks for the info. So if I go with these there isnt the issue that aa900 had with the LED's making my headlights look yellow correct? I dont want to go crazy replacing all sorts of lights on this puppy

If you only replace these with LEDs then you'll have 4 different colors between your side markers, fog lights, front LEDs and headlights. If you're going to go the LED route then I recommend swapping all the exterior lights to LEDs including the rear license plate bulbs, so you have a consistent look.

As for the HIDs, that will depend on whether the OEM yellow-ish HIDs bother you enough to make the swap. That's a personal call

You can get them here.

I personally don't have an issue with the headlights being a bit off color.. But I'm not as **** as Art (aa909.)

I think he balanced all the lights in his house to match the TT. And probably the street lights too..

LOL!! I had the geek squad from best buy over tuning the christmas lights so all the LEDs on the tree match the porsche HIDs

as for the maxspeed LEDs, that's what I've got on my car. To be honest they are hit or miss, I've had a few fail and one of the license plate LEDs doesn't match color wise. But to their credit they've replaced all the failed lights and been pretty good from a customer service perspective I guess. But DO NOT buy their Phillips "Ultinon's" HIDs (if they're even still selling them)
