Default Air box upgrades for 997 TT

Hello ,
I am new member and am looking for some advice regarding air box upgrades. I unfortunately have to eliminate my Werks 1 air box because the new lid and wing sent from W.... wont clear the air box. Can anyone give me some advice on an air box that fits like the factory but has better performance? The throttle body and plenum have been upgraded as well. Your response is greatly appreciated.

I have a FabSpeed air box but a gain in performance is mere speculation. My Turbo had the system installed when I purchased.

Just looked on FabSpeeds site. 17 -21 HP gain is noted for carbon fiber competition intake system.

Thank you guys for the feed back. I am still learning how to navigate the site. I read that the Fab Speed intake system allows a lot of hot and doesn't make a good seal over the filters as the stock air box.

Is there a system for payment on the for parts listed on the forum classifieds or do you simply contact the seller?

Just contact the seller if you have interest in an item and work out the details direct.

The Fabspeed Motorsport 997TT carbon fiber high performace air intake works really well and there is NO issue with hot air injestion. Trust me I designed, Dyno tested everything. The sportscar sound between shifts is amazing as well as you can hear the car make slight blow off noises.

I have stack of stock OEM 997TT air boxes that we threw away and perhaps can snag you one if you are really want to go back to stock.

Heck we have even installed our 997TT high performance airintake system on a 800+ HP 997 GT2 RS

Not true. It sucks in hot and dirty air which is apparently very good for the engine :roll eyes:

I agree with Phillip and Paul... This is BS

I had the fabspeed hot air intake in my car for 3 days... I felt how my car lost power right away....

Just keep your OEM.... Don't waste your money....
