Default Dension/iPhone users upgraded to iOS7

You may lose connectivity due to Apple's firmware update. Apple is nutty with their firmware updates and it often screws up bluetooth systems.

If you do have issues after the iPhone update, follow these instructions to reset things:

Remove the phone from the Dension device menu.
Remove the Dension from the phone's bluetooth device list.
Reboot the phone.
Reset the Dension (paperclip): press the reset on the Aux and hold it 3 seconds with ignition on.Let go.Turn car off, remove key,ley sit for 10 minutes.

Restart car, re-pair the phone to Dension(may need to turn the BT Audio back on) and see if that repairs it. May also need to reset volume setting.

I had no problem; iphone iOS7 and Dension worked as well as it did before the iOS change. That is not to say it works great; Dension has never responded to my repeated attempts to make the address/contacts appear in the PCM. What flakes they are.

Pilma , I am thinking of getting one but now they have a pro BT model. Very confusing to me. Flakey? Would you give me advice on Dension or do I get the Porsche adapter FM modulator type?

Atcbi5,
I have the 500SBT...this is an 800 dollar (after installation) music player...the bluetooth phone does not work and never has. Music, however, streams well through BT, USB, and iPhone, but audibility of phone system renders it useless.

I had been getting ready to pull the trigger again but after talking to an installer, he is no longer supporting Dension. He said it just does not work well with the IPhone. That is what I have and getting rid of my iPhone which works with everything at home not happening. If I get motivated enough, I will tap into the CdC changer's audio circuits. I did it on my wife's Z4. I don't care about the cellphone usage, just music. Got to find me a schematic.
