Cuda911, I'm an anaesthetist, hence the plates, and 480BHP is a surgeon that I was working with that day. It was a golden opportunity to make a video for the enthusiast community that I had been sorely missing when selecting my exhaust. Hopefully it has made many people's decisions easier and made Stef some extra sales.

I also second Speed21's advice that get the EP1 and play with it for a while. You will appreciate the EP1 for what it is and what a difference it makes and you may be satisfied with the performance anyway. I tried a Softronic tune and enjoyed the blistering performance that dialing up the boost to 1.2 and keeping it there can bring, but datalogging showed what a dangerous tune it was and I have since removed it. I will go down a custom path when I have a chance.

Nice video, I'd say the Ruf I just installed is right in between, maybe 3/4 as loud as the pipe.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings here Chris but going by FVD's site and the pics what you actually have is an FVD mock up of a OE stock system with the cats changed out for a healthy margin. There are no RUF part numbers to be found anywhere nor any mention of RUF.

Given a stock system is brand new at 3600 eu (or 4500 us) it kinda makes the stock system cheap actually, and the RUF a good deal at the 8K in comparison. Sorry, but it was worth mentioning bc to pay 4500 for a couple of cats rewelded onto your own stock system sounds a way bit exxy in my books. Kinda money for jam really. Nice money spinner for FVD.! I'm sure it works better with the higher flow cats tho.

...well I think (hope) it's just Doc at this stage? Unless FVD is using clever sales tactics to lure? If so i can't see it said anywhere on their site.

Anyway fwiw what I found quite interesting was that the photographs are quite clear depicting the old system as being totally untouched other than the removal and re welding of the different catalytic converters. I even note the bolts on the heat shields look like they haven't seen a spanner on them in years and the muffler can arrangement had no signs of being opened up and re welded. So i can only come to the logical deduction that what we have here is simply your own stock system being provided FOC to have a cat change out for the Princely sum of $4500 usd. That to me is a brilliant money spinner for the vendor and if I was in the exhaiust game I'd be jumping on it poste haste especially if it results in sales!!

I'm surprised Agency Shower hasn't got in on the act yet. Talk about money for jam.

LOL ....well i figure it this way. 4500 for a brand new OEM system plus the 4500 for the rewelded cats = 9K. The new Ruf was only 8.....so that was the better deal after all. Somethimng tells me I think the price of all used OEM stock systems has just gone up in value overnight after seeing that FVD advert lol.
Just when i thought id seen it all..

....ya gotta love these forums....never a dull moment..

Can't you kids give it a rest.
When my brother and bobby had their ruf conversions done in Dallas, side by side, they used their stock cores, FYI.
