Default Dectane LED

Guys, did some reading and via ebay was going to get a set of the Dectane LED tail lights for my 997.1. Seems some of the older threads had said the service from Europe had went a bit downhill and misc error codes a year later on some vehicles.

Is everything now fixed with these tail lights?

You don't have to buy from Europe, there are distributors in the US probably in Canada too. I've had mine installed for 25 months, never any problems.

Jhbrennan, Car Light Pro sells them as well but they are asking $895 US for a set. Ebay has them as $595 direct from the Germany manufacturer. A couple of hundred cheaper and no duty from Germany. Much prefer to buy them in Canada or the USA or maybe even from a Rennlist member used

no problems anymore.. i have a guy with the good ones... for i think it was 550? i'll pm you his email. great lights, great quality.. they are the DEPO ones.. that look just like oem not the other ones that look "off"

btw, here are mine.. they work perfectly.. no error lights.. i used the included resistor packs (you clean inside the light area and then double side tape them on and install lights..)

lights take 1 screw each side... super easy... the seller is very good guy, out of cali.. i was lucky to find him thru another member and have sent over 20 people his way.

Not to hijack but do these have any adjustment? I had some work done on my where they removed the rear bumper and mine are slightly out of alignment. Sigh, Virginia car shops...

The depo lights are very nice looking. Definitely OEM look. My car came with them already installed.

They may not have re-installed properly. Most common mistake is to miss the attachment slot on the body near the "pointy" end.

open trunk, look at bolts .. middle one tightens, top and bottom adjust slightly.. they probably didnt snap em in right, common sense will show you how they should be.

clip on the wheel side... slides in that and then bolts into trunk lid area.

The depo ones have 6 months warranty for 550 or 599 shipped.
The dectane ones from Germany have 2 years warranty now selling for 565+110 shipping.
I went with dectane ones. But the shipping is so slow.

I know that. But dectane offer 2 years warranty. Depo only offer 6 months. I would pay more for extra 18 months peace of mind.
