It's Malachite and I've always liked it.

I like it because it is different - but I realize it would be harder to sell and worth less than a common colored one. FWIW, I bought a brown 997TT, so I like weird colors.

It's ok. Someone who lives down the street has one.

I was recently considering the purchase of a R8 Spyder that has a red roof. I thought the color looked fantastic. My guy friends all thought the color looked fantastic. I should it to a couple of girl friends to get their opinion and they all said the same thing, "Awful."

Now, I don't buy my cars for what other people think. I buy what I like. But I also realized that owning an exotic car that polarizes people is probably not a good thing regardless of my taste.

It effects resale and like it or not, the way you are perceived in the community. I heard enough girls say that the red top looks "douchey" that it made me realize, that's not the type of signal I want to give off. Not to police, not to dates and not to my friends.

I guess my point is, if you're gonna spend a lot of money on something, it would be my advice to stay away from combinations that people hate. Don't buy the car for anyone but yourself but be aware of what type of attraction something may draw or repel.

It's the kind of colour you'd really want to love because it'd be near impossible to shift. I recall a few years back PCA had a brand new one that fell over on a custom order and they just couldn't shift it. They ended up doing a full colour change and had PAG change the plate. I know the paint guy who did the car. It was a full strip down.... a lot of work.

I was looking at a red TT and realized it would be like lighting a torch at night.

Considering all of the options including ceramic brakes and low miles, the asking price of 84K suggests that this color isn't all that popular... I'd pass too.
