Default Trading my Audi RS4 in for a 997 TT!

Been a lurking for some time now and am now ready to move from my current vehicle (RS4), into a 997TT. I plan to drive the Porsche year round, which includes our awesome CDN winters!

Other than the going from 4 doors to 2, and from N/A to a turbo what other differences should I expect?

Congrats on the move. Completey different cars, you're going from a nose heavy pig to the exact opposite. The only thing you will miss is the beautiful sound of that engine and the timing chain whirrrrr.

Other than that there is no comparison.

Speaking from experience...there is absolutely no comparison between an rs4 or 997tt. Don't get me wrong, the rs4 is a fantastic car, however the 997tt in terms of capabilities, engineering, and finish is on a completely different planet in every conceivable way as you will soon find out. Enjoy.

Congrats on the move, when do you expect to get it by ? The 997TT is truly an amazing vehicle. Also don't forget to get a PPI done too before hand.

I figured balance would be another, and yes the RS4 is quite 'nose heavy'. The car has been good to me, but I am now ready for ownership of a 2-door turbo AWD is something I could never live without again, so glad the 997tt has this as well.

Thanks! I have a friend who is the automotive business and he is looking for one as we speak. I too am searching for one that he could bring in for me. I have been going back and forth on this for a while now and have finally decided to pull the trigger - timing is right on my end.

That said, I am finding it hard to locate a 997 (looking specifically for 07 or 08), and they are hard to come by. I also find prices vary so much....I assume this is normal? I realize each used vehicle is different - mileage, mods etc. but I am seeing some that are simialr in description and mileage and they still vary quite a bit.

Completely different cars. You will never look back. The TT is the PERFECT daily driver. Beautiful build, fit and finished. 07 - 09 have the much heralded Mezger GT1 engine, replete with time chain rattles and oh so awesome free-revving acceleration. Can't get enough... Welcome.

You might also have a chat with Michael McDonald at Vehicle Direct. He has sourced some pretty fabulous cars for friends of mine. He has a stellar reputation.

http://vehicle-direct.ca/index.htm

Best of luck with finding the right car. There is no shortage of selection out there.

Thanks again for this! This dealer has a nice "fleet" of cars in his stable! I will reach to see if they can assist.

The search is officially on. I have reached out to my local Porsche dealer providing them with complete details of what I am looking for. Hoping they know of something on it's way back via lease return etc.

I appreciate everyone's help and helpful tips/feedback!
