Default 997.2 turbo oil change and service interval question

quick question-

i just did the first oil change (since the car has been in my possession) as requested by the onboard computer.

easiest change. took 45 minutes for the hot oil to come all out. more than 9 quarts. i wish all cars were _that_ easy.

then using my durametric i reset the service indicator.

.... now the car is saying next change is in 20k miles or 2 years.

huh? is the onboard computer in the habit of changing later the terms of the next service or it truly wants the next oil change to be after 20k miles?

that does not sound right one bit...

thank you

The light is not for oil changes it is for major and minor services.

i understand. but isnt every service (minor or major) include an oil change?

or oil changes are separate from the services?

i am well versed in mercedes and bmw services and that is the case with those cars. a service is an oil change and other things depending on the service requested.

this is my first p-car so if i ask dumb questions- i am sorry
