i bought the tips from a member here, malmasri. (thanks Mo!)
they are maxspeed motorsports, dont know if they are still available. Identical to the fabspeed tips (except for a welded nut which I had welded - eases install to a cinch) but at half the price. I think they were like 450.

Unfortunately they dont seem to sell them anymore, they have a v2, which I dont like...

I had them sent to the UK for ceramic coating, firm called zirotech i think. I am sure there are ceramic coat companies in the US that would do that for you.

Dianic those are awesome tips but since maxspeed doesn't offer them anymore I'm leaning towards the black chrome quad tips from fabspeed.

DJ23 it looks like you have the chrome fabspeed quads, can you post some close ups of them? wondering how well they fill out the exhaust space

btw dianic I noticed you have the GT3 hood grill. Is that a simple add on to the OEM bumper or is that an entire aftermarket bumper kit?

thanks
Art

Art, exhaust opening is different on 997-2 so DJ23's car wont be of much help I think.

Thanks for that picture Jay, beautiful turbo !!
What happened to the fence ?

Denis is correct, Jay's car is a .2 so thats a larger opening.

Art, there is an aftermarket kit where you cut the bumper and it just drops in. Needs some handy dremel work, but there is a stickon template which should make it easy. You can find it here:
RENNLINE GRILL KIT

Now, on the tips, when I had them installed on the stock muffler, they looked recessed and similar to Jays. Once I got the europipe, the curve of the last pipe outwards pushes the tips a bit further out just be aware of it.

The twin pipes fill out the whole for the exhaust opening just right. Few mms all around, if you dont install correct, they may touch. Only at the top corner where the sharp angle is, there is a gap that cannot be filled as two round pipes do not equal a teardrop.

Here are pics of the tips with stock exhaust vs europipe, and the current lowered stance.

You can also see the three iterations of rear lights: stock vs rottec vs dectane!

anyone have pics of the fabspeed black chrome quad tips (or straight chrome for that matter) installed on the stock 997.1 turbo exhaust? need to see how they fit, fill out the opening and how far they extend out. looking for something more aggressive looking than the stock oval exhaust tips

Art, I have the Fabspeed polished tips.. If I had to do it over I would get the black chrome.. Easier to take care of.. I have a TechArt exhaust so the tips stick out further than they would on an OEM system. Expensive but very good quality and perfect fitment..

That was the result of last years Halloween Blizzard when all the trees came down. Pic was taken in early spring.
