Default Bose system

Do all 997.1 come with Bose audio systems? Was there any additional sound packages available?

Yes I was inquiring about 997.1 turbo model. What exactly does the Bose system include? I know there a subwoofer in the rear seat area, is there something behind the front console existing by passenger feet? Amplifiers? Are general turbo owners happy with factory Bose or is there a deficiency? Appreciate the feedback.

Honestly? The BOSE system is no big deal. I rarely listen to mine, preferring to listen to the engine note instead.

Europipe is music to my ears. Everything else is just noise.

Was never fan of Bose! Have removed the subwoofer out of my car (it's a good 20 Lbs). The "Supersonic Dyson" (AKA the 997.1 turbo) is the music I listen to :-), there is no note, but the whoosh makes up for that :-)

The Bose syatem is weak at best.. As my musician friend says "No highs and no lows" must be Bose.....My beater scion TC has a much better system and an Ipod dock. I guess Germans aren't into music that much... (Sure make awesome cars though.)

Sounds fine when the fade is tweaked and bit and you adjust the tone levels.

May be...but not offered on 997. Is it an option on the 991?

Yes it is a big part of the 991. Apparently it is breathtaking.
BTW, it is spelled Burmester, trust me

Dieter Burmester is a Porsche fan, wouldn't be surprised he is a rennlister.

I listen to music all the time when i drive and it sounds perfectly fine to me, and more than adequate for the car imho. Can't see any issue really. Sure I guess you could wish for a burmester, who knows, probably does sound a bit better but who cares? Couldn't imagine the bose system qualifying as any form of logical reason for not buying the car...

Agreed.. It's just that every other part of the car is outstanding. For a $150k car ($300k where you live) It should have a better sounding system. Is it a reason to not own TT? Hell no.. Just kind of a let down..
