Default 997 Insurance Costs

Looking to purchase a 2007-2009 Turbo and decided to budget in insurance costs. Clean driving record, driving for 20 years, homeowner, garaged, pleasure miles, and I'm finding some sticker shock with the turbo. I've tried a few of the major companies including AAA, 21st and State Farm and I'm getting $1000+ per 6-months? I understand it should come with a premium given the hp, but my GT3RS at 450hp is close in hp and I'm paying less than half that rate. Any insurance recommendations out there? Appreciate the assistance.

TT should be less than a GT3 or GT2 because it does have a rear seat. Insurance rates are going to vary greatly by state and county. So you would need to find someone in your same state and county to compare rates with. My 07 tt was not a lot more to insure than my 04 NA. It went up a little because the value of the car went up not the HP.

I'm paying a little less than $600/6 months with State Farm on my 12 TTS 918 Edition Spyder. I have multi-car and multi-line discounts with the car rated at less than 7500 miles per year. A lot of factors determine the rate, where you live, your age, how long you have been with the company, the coverages you carry, and of course, your driving record.

The only benefit of aging is that your auto insurance decreases..

Phillip this is true except for my 92 year old dentist friend in your state that has to pay 20 grand in premiums to drive a porsche. He's always driven porsches and now he cant because of this. He's pissed.
