Default 2007 Turbo Mileage question

Looking at 2007 turbo, CPO'd with 41,000 miles. Asking $67,000. Clean Carfax. I've read the thread on 997.1 TT longevity. I'll ask for a DME readout. Any thoughts on the mileage being a bit high?

Thanks!

It would be my first Turbo. I'll find out about the DME readout next week.

Thanks again!

Miles are fine. Unless really abused, which DME and PPI will show.

Just getting broken in here at 62K :-)

Just noticed the CPO'd. At that mileage, not sure it's a good substitute for PPI by other than the selling dealer.

Terry,
Thanks for the advice about the PPI. Also looking at a 2008 Turbo, CPO'd with ~ 15,000 miles but they're asking $20K more.

'07 or '08 - same beast mechanically.

Worth $20K more only if serious difference in condition, otherwise you will not get it back if you resell in less than 5 years.

Which one is the color combo you prefer?

The 2008 is Guards Red/Black. The 2007 is Meteor Grey/Grey. I've driven the 2007, the other car is out of state. I like both color combos and both have nearly the same option package. Is 26,000 fewer miles worth $20,000? If the 2007 checks out, I'd rather keep the $20K in my pocket!

For what it's worth, I have never done a PPI on any of the Porsche vehicles I have purchased. I have had a 964, 993 and now 07TT. Testament to the quality and past maintenance of the previous owners. I maintained my previous cars in pristine condition. I believe that most Porsche owners take pride in the vehicles they own. So therefore unless it's is just a complete disregard for maintenance, you got nothing to worry about! Just check the simple free stuff before a PPI( I don't do it). First, Ask the dealer (service guy)for the Porsche job management report. This report outlines all work performed either warranty or reported by owner. It also includes campaign information. That is a fancy word Porsche uses for "recall" . The other is a printout of the VIN report. This one tells you everything about your model, build sheet if you wish to call it that. The last one is the one I love the most, the dreaded DME report that all talk about with 100 percent certainty. Bull crap if you ask me unless there are blanks on any of the ranges "0", you will be told not to buy the car. Get ready and keep reading cause we getting experts on here soon

P.S I got a couple of hits in the 5 and 6 ranges!! Usually happens when I get ready to change my rear tires! One last big giant wide open rev limiter hitting freaking smoke cloud giant supersized killer unforgettable burnout!

Don't worry best cars out!

Both desirable colors.

Would rather keep the $20K and the '07.

keep $20k and enjoy the car settling in the mid $50k's vs $87k- hmm... in nov 2010 i bought a 17k mile 07 TT- $80k cpo. bit of a deal wholesale that month was $76k. leap forward 18 months - 08 is near the same -tad older-- so in the same ballpark- bit high imo for RED---slower moving color.

I've done nearly 20,000 miles since purchased @ 35,000 with last 10k FVD stage 2 upgrade.

I think the big difference is the new Turbo is on the horizon.. All Turbo will move down into a range where they will stay well above 996 levels imo.

Due to those factors & not mentioned I may get a little more range with my V1 in a dark color vs bright by police... not that I speed.

Wow, someone lost big time on trading in his trusty 07 turbo. Such a shame, these great cars lose so much with depreciation.
