Default Considering 997.2 Turbo S (now with pictures)

Im considering purchasing a 997.2 Turbo S. anything I should be on the lookout for aside from the obvious? I prefer to buy a CPO car with low miles. I've located a few cars at different dealers and I don't mind shipping the car home. Did the S's come with the front end lift as an option? Anyone have any leads? White or silver exterior, open to interior colors, center locks would be nice but not necessary.

No front end lift was offered if I'm not mistaken. Just the GT cars. Never saw the option when I ordered mine.

I looked at a 2011 S tonight that matches my want list. I'll sleep on it and decide if I'll proceed or not.

Have you ever thought of buying a GT3?

Definitely no front axle lift on the TTS. I have an 11' TTS Cab and love it. It is my daily driver. It is too quick for words. When driven normally, one would have no idea of what lies beneath. Push the car just a bit and it is a beast. Capable of stupid fast if not careful.

Just traded my 2011 GT3 for a 2012 Turbo S. Needed a daily driver and this beast fits the bill. It is a monster. OP said stupid fast, I say scary fast. Thought I woud never like the PDK...... Amazing....

I have the center lock wheels and love the look of them. I have not had a problem with them (yet), probably because I haven't had to remove/change a tire. If you do plan on changing your tires I believe you need a torque wrench with >400ft lbs and an extension tube and a second person to step on the brake when tightening the center lock. I watched the tech at dealership do it and concluded if I nedd to change tire it will be flatbedded to dealer.

I had a 2011 TTS w/ Pdk and thought it was too soft for my liking. I sold it and bought a GT3 rs and there is nothing like it. To me, this is what a Porsche should be like.

I had a GT3RS and you are right there is nothing like it. It is pretty raw. A great toy not a very good DD IMHO.

I have an '11 TTS coupe and had a 997.1 GT3RS. The TTS is at my upper limit of "stiff" for a daily driver. (I live in an area with lousy roads.) If I lived in Northern California, I'd daily drive a GT3RS 4.0, but alas the roads in Southeast Oklahoma appear to have been laid without the unnecessary expense of civil engineering. TTS is a great compromise for a daily driver sport car.

The car will not be my daily driver as I have that covered already. I just sold my 993TT due to lack of use (3K miles in 4 years). My hope is that I'll drive a newer car more often. I have looked at a few cars but the dealers all seem to be asshats. I'd like to buy a CPO'd car.

Thoughts on this car:

Can't be CPO'd because its not at a Porsche dealer.

Not much discount for a 1 year old car with 8k miles.
