Hey guys...
As you can see Im relatively new to do the forum and been doing some research on the 997TT.
I see everyone saying that you must get a PPI done before buying the car. Im sure a PPI is some kind of inspection but not sure what is all involved in it.
I did some reaserch here but I can't seem to find that info. Could someone tell me what is all involved in a PPI and who would actually do it? and roughly about how much it cost?
Thanks.

Ask a Porsche dealer or a recommended independent what they charge for a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) and what they inspect/check. Someone may respond too with a recommendation from the Charlotte area if that's where the car is. Generally shouldn't have the selling dealer perform the PPI. Good Dallas area independent charges $300 for a 100 point inspection including DME report.

its a readout from the ecu of the car, which gets generated by using the diagnostic tool of P cars, and it reads how many revolutions the engine has had above certain rpm (the rev limiter and above), and at what operating hours (so judging from current operating hours of the engine you can have an idea as to when the overrevs happened). On a manual car this is crucial as you can miss a shift and do some damage - on a tip its hard to get it past the level 2 over revs. Do a search I dont have the ranges handy but they have been posted.
Good luck.
