Ebay is a wholesale market. Most of the deals are done outside of ebay. I have sold quite a few cars there and that's what happens. I also doubt that they will get alot cheaper because of the new turbo. It will be 160K plus and a year and a half away. They are not even taking orders yet. The 07s are already half price. I was offered 75K wholesale by the dealer on my 991. I elected to keep it. I bet I could sell my well optioned perfect 07 with 11k miles on it and CPO in a day for 80K.

Correct but you haven't found your 65K car yet either
On a side note, there have been quite a few 997 Turbos with desired color combos/mileage/options/mods/service histories sold for mid 90's.... yes mid 90's...
Just remember you get what you paid for...
I surely hope, that black Turbo with 73K price is not going to set a new 997 TT market now, would it
Good Luck in your search

A car priced under the market is one of two things, sold quickly, or if not sold has stories. I have owned and sold many Porsches including a GT3RS that I sold in one day for my asking (fair) price. Oats are always cheaper after the come out of the horse. There is always a reason something is cheap. And you are still wishing you had a turbo and don't have one. If a truly great car comes on the market at a fair price it is gone quick, bottom feeding will not get a great car. BTW I am not trying to sell mine just using it as an example.

Unfortunately market price is coming down now
I know we dont recognize KBB or Edmunds as authorities in valuing these exotics, but their numbers are reality. They werent far away from the valuation of the 40th anniversary I sold last year.
KBB is about $10K higher than Edmunds and give the range below for an outstanding, fully loaded 2007 turbo with less than 10,000 miles:
Trade in: $75,700-66,300
Private party sell: $79,300- 69,600
Dealer retail: $73,200 (Edmunds only)
Its just reality. Enjoy them, forget the depreciation. Appreciate the smile they give you everyday.
