Default Battery Replacement Advice

My 2007 997.1 Turbo needs a new battery.
If I replace it myself, do I need the Porsche dealer to reset anything? Car is bone stock. Any unique issues to the battery replacement?
Fellow owners spoke highly of the Walmart Battery MAXX-94R for $80. Any other suggestions? If so, please provide make and model #. Thanks for your advice on this.

I did the Interstate Battery when my factory OEM POS battery died at 18 mos due to a bad cell - AND Porsche will not warranty batteries if you drive less than 6k miles a year. So f'em....I bought the Interstate from a dealer, they popped it right in, was good to go in 15 mins. Interstate has no mileage restriction. May not apply to your case, but there are numerous threads on this board under the battery topic....Optima, Interstate, others.

You can do it yourself and anything thrown off by lack of power should reset itself after a short drive. Easy job! (Don't forget the vent hose.)

I put an Interstate in my 997S - I think it was H7 - but search the 997 forum, there are multiple threads on batteries.
