All I can offer is with the VIN call PCNA and find out to which dealer the car was sold. Call that dealer's service department and see what if any services the car had. If it was not serviced there see if anyone knows where the car might have been serviced. Call those places then for that info.

Get a CarFax report to see if anything negative shows up, but to also see if you can learn in what area the car spent some time and then call Porsche dealers in those areas and see if you can learn what if any servicing the car had.

When I do this I avoid trying to seek any info on the previous owners. All I'm interested in is what services (or repairs covered by warranty or not) done and when.

ok I'm the newbie/ What is the warning light on next to the center of the speedometer?

indicates that a warning light is lit (!) In this case the low fuel light is on. As you can see it only gets 26mpg at 100 MPH..

While the 997Turbo is touted to deliver better fuel economy and based on what I know second hand it does, that 'mpg' looks to be 'mph' (the pic is obviously fuzzy). By comparision, my 03 Turbo will deliver 26mpg but not at 100mph. Maybe at 70 to 75mph.
