Default Test droe a 997.1 TT today, very good !

I had a terrible experience with a 997.1 Carrera S with Tiptronic: the car felt anemic, horrible !

Today I had the chance to drive a 997.1 TT just for the fun of it, Tiptronic

Wow ! It is chipped, no aftermarket exhaust -- It's seriously quick ! And the gearbox up or downshifted fast enough

Now I see why people get easily addicted to Turbo power

There is not a better daily driver than a TT. My only complaint is the front lips scrapes alot.

I agree. This is the only complaint I have with my 09 as well...

I'm sure you've tried all the tricks - best approach for me has been an extreme angle, very slow and engage sport mode so PASM inhibits shock compression/rebound...but I still scrape occasionally.

I have spare lips for the front, and a team of great painters, and specially formulated matched finish for the lowers. I keep the spare painted at all times. Swap it out about every 13 months or so. : )

Just do it!

I hardly ever scrape on my 09 turbo with the aerokit, my 996 GT3 and 997.2 RS are another story though.

You must have highly modified front bumper cover. If you remove one of the lips, maybe it'll scrape less?

I actually thought about making a "blunt" or " bobbed" lip for such close to the ground situations. Eric how much would it cost to come up with such a device?
