Default Soft WindShields?

Is it my imagination that Porsche windshields seem a very soft type of glass?Have not had my Turbo that long but I seem to be getting a good amount of small pitting in my windshield.I make a great effort not to tailgate but my old Turbo seemed to have a similar problem.Do you owners feel the same way? Would a coat of Jetseal or wax maybe help protect?

All Porsche WS have been soft for decades. Safety issue on impact.

Almost a maintenance item. Pitting gets unbearable after a while.

I get a new windshield once a year.

Tires, wipers, oil, filter, windshield.
