Default Clear bra advice

I need to replace the clear bra on the turbo. It's 4 years old and has hazed a lot, not sure why.

1. Anybody know of any product better than 3M's ?
2. To save $400, I might take the old film off myself. Any advice on how ? I know some heat is needed, maybe a solvent...alcohol? Any insight appreciated.

I had a full front and hood done with Venture Shield 3 years ago. Looks new and has shielded the hood well from some road debris.

I removed some from my 993 with just a hair dryer and some detail spray (Griot's Speedshine). I would not use alcohol on paint.

No personal experience removing a clear film, but I've heard it's a real PITA b/c of the adhesive. Get a can of 3M Adhesive remover which I hear makes removing adhesive residue very easy.

Thanks for the input.

Terry, BTW, the PDR guys use isopropyl alcohol to remove their hot glue from the paint. No problem whatsoever with the paint, as long as its cured.
