Default PDK "Slipping"

Would it be just be my imagination or does the PDK sometimes "slip" - ever so slightly - but slips none the less - particularly in reverse when I have it in 'Sport' mode I find...

I haven't noticed any slippage. I will have to test out the reverse mode. Have you felt any slippage in any other gears?

Yes..sometimes when leaving from an intersection or parking lot in 1st. I will start paying attention if I am in sport mode or normal..

My GTI (DSG dual clutch) slips a little when starting off sometimes. No different than when I start off in a manual transmission car and allow a small amount of slippage to avoid a lurch.

Is that what you are talking about?

Sorry to bring this thread back to life but what was the outcome of this? I just purchased a 09 c2 PDK w/ 42k and have noticed some slipping when first starting out in 1st or in reverse (a slight blip in the RPM's but no clutch engagement) It doesn't slam into gear or anything like that it just momentarily slips and then drives normal. I have searched hundreds of threads and this is really the only thread that sounds like the problem I am having.. Any help would be appreciated!

I also have this slippage in both 1st and reverse (on occasion). Mine is going in on Friday to the dealer (car under warranty) for a 10k service and I'm having it looked at. Will report back if anything is found.

Interested in hearing what they say. I started another thread regarding this and it seems to be pretty common. One guy mentioned not feathering the gas from a start (I used to lightly push the gas and would unintentionally let off the gas just a touch and it would slip out of gear) since I've consiously driven the car different (still lightly but firmly) I haven't had this issue reoccur. You may want to try it and see if it works for you.

If you back a manual down a long driveway, you'll probably find that you slip the clutch a bit as well. Otherwise you'd be going at least whatever speed the car will do in reverse at idle. Which is faster than I tend to go when I'm watching out for fence posts, shrubs and am trying to line things up so the front lip won't scrape.

I'm not sure I see how the PDK would be any different in that scenario, other than that being controlled through the gas pedal position only.

This may be completely normal. (But I know little to nothing on this subject, I've only ever driven a PDK once, so this is pure speculation).
