Looks fantastic, totally worth it !

Especially as the new turbo only got the tail lights upgraded if I remember well. So this is barely a frankeinporsche, but a good upgrade in from MkI to MkII

I think the 997 should have gotten the LED taillights to begin with which is why I decided that it was a worthwhile mod for me.

Inspirational and useful thread

I like the .2 lights and I really like the GT2RS rear end so have the parts on order.

My car is an '09 model - can someone confirm should this be plug and play subject to a programming session with the PIWI device ?

^^^Yes, since you have an '09, you should be able to do it without having to buy the programming modules like I did.

Do i need the front module to work?
I m not sure about the pin swap, anyone can help me out? i have a 2007 turbo

rear control unit

from the 2009 Turbo too. We also swapped the the pins for the front from #11 to 36 because Ethan says it'd be necessary to do

that if the lights were flashing fast. The rears were swapped from #42 to 31. So, if you have a 2007 or even a 2008, it might

We couldn't get it to work right without the front and rear control module.

Looks great, but love how the DEPO LEDs are a clean swap and cost me only $500 from another member and installed them myself in 10 minutes. Guessing this cost you close to $4,000.
Love the GT wheels, tempting replacements for the OEM Turbos

I'm glad that worked out for you but I honestly didn't want to go with the "aftermarket" look which is what those DEPO LEDs look like.

Here are my Depo/Dectane LED's ironically, also on a Cobalt Turbo. I've never seen 3 in one thread before.

its about less then half of that today. and thats BEFORE selling your oem parts to further reduce that cost.

ebay/forums have tons of great deals on MINT second hand parts.

@atomic, always enjoyed your photography on here. Still have the car? Haven't "seen" you around here much. Seems like the newer forms of social media are cutting down on forums, at least I wonder. Cheers,

Jason
