Default Tubi and smog

I've got a 08 997 TT and have been going back and forth on a Tubi street exhaust purchase. I know the street version comes with 200 cell cats. I'm in Calif. and wondered if anyone out there has had any problems smogging their TT with this set up?
Also, any warranty issues at the dealership?
Thanks much

hi dave, I can help you with this.. we do them all the time. Having said that legally _no_ aftermarket exhaust (Tubi or otherwise) is going to be SMOG legal. The race version will NOT pass the emissions test but we've seen many cars pass the emissions test with their street exhaust. The visual inspection is another story....

Let me know if I can help or if you have any questions.

Get your Porsche inspected at your local P-car dealer....usually things like this won't be a problem. Race pipes, like Alex says, will never pass.

you should have no problem passing smog with 200 cel cats. mine passed ca smog (i have speedtech with 200 cel cats) easily. Most of the people at the smog stations have no idea what they're looking for on a porsche, so the visual should be ok as well. as far as your warranty, it will be fine except of course if there is problem with the exhaust itself.
go for it- exhaust is a must do mod on a turbo!
