Default Are your new TT tires noisy?

Did anyone else find the rubber on their car on delivery on the noisy side ? I love the car - save and except I find it a little loud from the rubber for a car of such quality. I remember putting Toyo Proxes on my last 911 which had 19" wheels - what a differance. I have Potenzas on this one. Is it just me?

I find that the Michelin PS2's run quieter and serve well on performance. This is what I am presently running.

Bump...guys I am driving 120kph tonight (+- 70 mph) and the Potenza tires were so noisy I had to speak up significantly to speak to my passenger ...or turn up the radio so load I wouldn't have to listen to the whine. The car has 600km on it! I just sent a note off my Blackberry to my dealer rep and ragged on him?

Is it just me?- do I have unreasonable expectations of this car - but my 996 cab with 19" Toyo's on it was MUCH quieter...

PS2's came on my '09 Turbo Cab....loved them on my past two Porsches and don't plan to go to anything else. Not too noisy.

Surprised yours came from the factory with those tires.

I'm way surprised too. What are they doing over there; pinching pennies?

Both Bridgestone and Pirelli tyres are much louder than Michelin in my experience

My car came with Pirellis BUT I had the dealer swap them with another car for PS2s when I took delivery.

Good news for a change - looks like the dealer will swap them (Bridgestones) out for me for some PS2's. Others must be complaining because he didn't put up much of an arguement...

My car came with the Bridgestones which I am not crazy about. I prefer the performance of PS2 and feel that the Michelins are also quieter.
I'm amazed that your dealer will swap them out. I had no such luck.

My car came with the RE050A's and dind't love them. switched to PS2's and they were better in every way. last week put on Bridgestone RE-11 and so far I think they better the PS2's - quieter, more comfortable, and amazing grip.

PS2 is still a very loud tire on this car. If you want quiet, you will need to dynamat the friggen thing.
