Default Height difference b/w hood and front bumper?

On your Turbo, what if any height difference can you see or measure between the leading edge of the lid and the top of the front bumper?

BTW, its normal, rumor is that its an aerodynamic aid to keep the hood from flying open.

I'm having trouble seeing how that would work.
If the latch fails (difficult to do), then the 3mm offset would be negated as soon as the first bump was encountered.

Ask someone from the track what happens when they forget to install hood pins.

I thought it was just failure to properly blend the curves in the design. BWTHDIK.
