Yesterday I stopped by the Danbury Porsche Dealership to place an order for a new 2010 Porsche Turbo. After working with my sales rep Chip Hall over the past several weeks we arrived at an option list that I was excited about. I'm fairly new to the Turbo forum, mostly reading and learning, rather than posting or replying that often. For those who have known me on the 997 forum I've enjoyed driving my Tiptronic over the last four years. This week I will have to trade it in early to finalize the purchase. That was the agreement we arrived at, but they were nice with their offer so I couldn't refuse. My order is for a November build slot. Accoding to Chip there aren't many slots available at this time. So if you're interested in purchasing a new 2010 Turbo see your dealer soon. There will be a limited number this year.
Here are the options I selected.
Additional modifications that the dealership will add for me are:
Escort 9500 CI radar/ laser detector
I forged Seneka wheels, painted black on the interior, high polish on the reverse lip.
Custom Lloyd mats with Speed Yellow "Turbo" logo.
Speed Yellow Turbo insignia from Bumper Plugs (this isn't for everyone, but it's me.) Took a page out of Coochas's book for this one
2010 Turbo.
Exterior Color Black
Interior Color Black Full Leather
Dynamic Cornering Lights
Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV)
7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung
(PDK)
Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake
(PCCB)
Sport Chrono Package Turbo
Including Dynamic Engine Mounting
19" Turbo II Wheel
Heated Seats
Sport Chrono Timer Display Painted
Speed Yellow Exclusive
Adaptive Sports Seats with Driver
Memory
Instrument dials in Speed Yellow
3-spoke PDK Sports Steering Wheel
with Shift Paddles
Porsche Crest in Headrests
Turbo Logo on Center Console
Storage Bin Lid
PDK Gear Selector Gate Surround in
Leather
Handbrake Lever in Aluminum
Outer Door-sill Guards in Stainless
Steel, Illuminated
Disc CD/DVD Changer
Universal Audio Interface
It will be a long Fall and Winter without my car, but it will give me some time to catch up on my reading. Want to thank all that have helped me make this decision; Chris, Eugene, and especially Dave Coochas.

Thanks for the reply guys. As soon as she comes in next year, don't worry; I love posting pics.
When I know the exact build date I'll let you know of it's approximate arrival.
DocJackson, as far as the trade and price. Yes they gave me a nice trade. I assume mainly because I was one of the first to order a 2010 Turbo from them. And yes they did give me a discount. However in paying homage to my sales rep Chip Hall, whom I've become close friends with over the years, I've always kept our business private. My suggestion is to sit down with your own rep and see what's the best they could offer you. Let's face it in this economy new Porsche sales have been slow. And a patient mind with an organized financial approach will get them (the dealer) to move closer to your price.

My last 996 was black on black which I loved and really got twisted about choosing a colour. In the end, I hope the Basalt was the right color - should look classy yet wicked...

Overdraft,
I think the basalt black is a great classic color. You can't go wrong there. It's great that they include the sport chorno with the Turbos in Canada. Take that money that you saved and get the ceramics. Trust me from what I've heard the inverstment is more than worth the quality that you get in return for the price, especially when you consider that to purchase them new you wouild spend around $14K installed. It's quite a savings. And let's face it. At this juncture with the power that this car posesses it's not about how fast you go. It's about how great the ride quality is; that's all. In any event I love the options and I'm sure like myself you can't wait to try the PDK. To read about the PDK and to use it I'm sure are two different worlds. Should be a heck of a ride.
Can't wait.
