Default Disconnect & Store Battery?

Hi All, just curious what you think I should do with my battery this winter with my car in storage? Should I run it once every few weeks for a 1/2 hour, add a trickle-charger to it or disconnect the battery, and place it in a dry-cool (not cold!) place to store it? Last winter it was dead as a doornail after the winter and it cost me $300 to replace.

Thoughts/opinions?

Leave it in the car.
Attach a proper battery charger/maintainer, one that does proper floating.
Your battery will be fine.
Even if you take it out of the vehicle, attach it to a proper battery maintainer.

Many different brands, here is an example or two.....
