Thanks for sharing. I always liked TWS CW.

I ran into Wes and Caren at Lowe's after the Parade in Charlotte.

Where the heck are all the 996 and 997-3s???

Two questions:

1. How much effort were you driving with? (7, 8, 9/10th's?)

2. How did that 944 turbo pass the GT2 on the long straight? Was his exit speed that much greater than the GT2's?

I was probably running 7-8/10ths, the Gt2 about 6-7/10ths (he is very fast). We dialed back because a good friend who runs with us (excellent driver) totalled his 996Gt3 the day before coming into T1. You can see the ominous fresh skidmarks coming onto the NASCAR straight. Spooked us pretty bad.

The 944 turbo is far from stock. Very highly modded 2.8l or 3l turbo motor in a stripped race tuned chassis. Probably 400+ hp on 2300lbs. The driver of that car is really an outstanding racer as well.

You're talking about T1 CCW, correct? If those are his tracks heading straight for the wall off to the left... ouch... I'm glad to hear that he's ok.

400+ horse in a stripped out set up 944... now that's one way to party!

yeah. Those skidmarks were very unsettling to see.

400+ horse in a stripped out set up 944... now that's one way to party!
I got verification it is a 3.0l turbo probably pushing 350-370whp and about 2500lbs wet.
