Default IPD Intake Plenum

Has anyone tried out the IPD intake plenum yet for the 997 TT? I believe it stands for " intake plenum diverter". From what I understand, it has a higher flowing aluminum y - pipe design than the stock plastic t - pipe unit and flows air faster into the intake. Gains are approx. 25- 30 hp claimed. Check it out on evoms.com. If it truly does give 25-30 hp, then it could be one of the most cost-effective mods out there for the 997 TT.

Also, and I hate to admit this, but I am not even sure where it goes. Underneath the airbox perhaps? From the looks of it, it does not connect to the intake cross pipe. Any ideas/comments?

I believe I saw something about these selling for $1000. I think I read something about them being no where near those gains cited. Do you REALLY think Porsche would leave 25-30 hp hanging on the tree if it could be gained by making a little more aerodynamic plenum splitter? I'm pretty sure this has been talked about already. Perhaps a search?
