incapable mechanic unfortunately, my coolant problem was fixed without a headache.

Sad thing is they DID drive it 30 miles before calling me!! Our SW Porsche friends did the work. Called me today and said it was a hole in a coolant pipe below the alternator so at least they don't have to pull the motor again. The failed upper hose to the temp sensor apparently has been seen on other 997tt. Just a massive coincidence that another hose would go right after fixing the leaking hose!!
They are taking it to Modena Autowerks to get the rear bumper painted. At least they gave me a brand new Cayman to drive till Friday.
