My dealer called me a few days ago and asked if I would be interested in an '07 TT that was an unwanted gift. The car was registered in June '07 and had done 900 miles...! Not even fully run-in.
I was in no rush to trade my C4S but decided to go have a look anyway. Love at first sight... made an offer and we struck a deal. Hey presto... I picked her up today and the car is stunning in looks and performance. Effortless power and incredibly nimble. Love it. It's so different form my C4S which was a great car but as many have stated here, there's no comparison in the delivery of power.
A big thanks to MMD and others on the forum for the VERY useful info they have provided.
Just a few quick shots of the car...

Nice, nothing looks better than a black turbo!
interested to hear your impressions vs the C4S, as I almost got one of those instead of my TT, but the cost was too close not to get some boost!

Thank you all for your comments and compliments. I've spent 8 hours today on claying and waxing and the car looks stunning with zero swirls. I am thrilled and the the whole thing just has not sunk in. I love the throaty and smooth sound of the stock exhaust too. The whole thing is ready to make love to... steady on!
The previous owner has about 40 cars and his wife gave this to him... she's got one for herself and thats the Turbo they've been using... this was just sitting around and they decided to trade it for a 4x4 for their son... my good fortune. Was there at the right time I guess.
Eric... you're so right. The dealer is replacing the sidemarkers. I did'nt think about the silver crest though... any picture's on how they look on a black beast?

Took the car out to play with my other love...my 83 year old Dad! He loved it! Prefers the Turbo hands down over the C4S.
The car is just fantastic... went on a twisty with some serious bends and cambers in including adverse cambers which would test my old C4S. The Turbo just takes it in its stride with no white knuckle moments and although still limiting to under 4k revs, that turbo kicking in just is an awesome experience! Instant access to speed with super fast acceleration as smoothly delivered as a hot knife gliding through butter. Simply amazing! And the handling?... flawless.
Do the rest of the 911 guys know what they're missing? There just seems to be more negative comments about the turbo (weight, handling, etc) than the truth.

Snap!! Beautiful car and side markers really look good clear. Also get the key hole plug it really looks slick. I still like the look of the original crest however. Cant clearly tell from the pictures but is your carpet Black?

Man, I gotta clay mine, that looks so freaking good!
You're right, the turbo gets alot of negative comments, 99.9% unfounded imo. The fact is, it's the top of the line Porsche (other than the GT2), one cannot do any better!
