WTF? The tail lights look anemic and too small.

Front end looks identical.

Set alarm clock for 2012-- wake me up when the 998TT comes out.

You are getting things for your money. Besides, seriously who in the hell on here driving on public roads needs any more speed that what the turbo offers? If you need something with more speed for the track then buy a cup car or something. There is very little out there that is as user friendly, good looking, fast, etc as the 911 and that applies to any variation of the 911 not just the turbo.
A C6Z06 and the new Viper is quite a bit faster than our 120 plus grand 997 Turbo..
And theres the new GTR coming out to..

Hmm, I'm out of town so I can't check but are you saying current cars have a 2nd set of high beams? Flash to pass feature? I'm curious now....

when your headlights are off and you use the flash, it will flash two halogen highbeams. When your headlights are on, the bi-xenons will go to high-beam mode, + the halogens will come on.

I currently own a 1996 993 C4, it is my 12th Porsche, after many different P-cars i find the current turbo amazing.I just drove the 997TT for 3 days, @ 200 miles total , mountain roads and open highway, it just simply does everything well.I know the guys over on the GT3 board say it is too "soft" but i think for the real world there is not a better all around sports car available at any price. Before anyone starts talking about this car they need to first spend a few days behind the wheel. No one needs any more power than this vehicle unless they are going to race on a track, professionally.

Are you going to get one? Will you keep the 993?

If I passed this car on the highway I d never know it was a newer generation TT.

Why dont they do something more dramatic?

I am not going to trade mine in unless its obvious I have a newer TT.

The 996 to the 997 TT was a dramatic body style change.

Damn it...they kept the "GBIM" (Golf Ball In Mouth) fog lights. Should have gone the GT2 route.

Other than the rear lights, I wouldn't even notice the difference.

Don't really notice any difference thats substantial (at least regarding the exterior). i suppose there will be some "goodies" under the hood like direct injection, and a sequential gearbox? Notice how large the gaps are around the rear lenses? i know its just a prototype but it almost looks like they fit those new led lenses on a 2008 body? i am sure things will be perfected when the new model comes out which last i heard (rumor) is 1 year after the standard Carrera gets it. That should be coming shortly like this Sept or sooner?

At first glance, I thought "what's new about it?"
