Default PORSCHE DRIVE EXPERIENCE -

Last Friday, I took a one day session at the Porsche Driving Experience (actually renamed Porsche Sport Driving Experience) in Alabama. I drive my turbo daily on the street when home but I gained tremendous respect for the Boxster, Cayman and the standard Carrera. On the track, they gave me a brand new '08 Carrera for use and at the end of the day had about 100 miles on the car. It is hard to imagine the capabilities of this car when pushed. I don't remember having as much fun "sitting". The track was fantastic and the entire staff was great.

In particular, I want to thank Hurley Haywood who was the chief instructor. Hurley has a 40 year history of winning races and also sells Prosches and Mercedes.

The dates I'm going are a rare Sat./Sun. Going with a friend and weekdays are tough for him. I'm thinking of going this march as well.

I am on a wait list for a weekend in May that a friend is going but it was sold out! Really want to go after hearing from Jason how much fun it was.

Go to the www.porsche.com website and link to the Porsche Sport Driving (same as Porsche Driving Experience) and you can go to registration to see when classes are and which ones have space available.
