997TT hands down. The two year old Porsche has already experienced a good amount of depreciation while the Corvette will drop 10 grand as soon as you drive off the lot. All-wheel drive is also nice. I have driven both, and find the Corvette to be very rough around the edges, but very fast at the same time. If you're going to drive it daily, buy the Porsche. If you're going to keep it for 10 years, buy the Porsche. A ten year old Corvette will be a rattle trap.

This is like a great boxing match - two great contenders that battle to the finish with a tie! So many good arguements from both camps.

I do have to say my 9 year old C5 is as solid today as when I bought it, now with 65,000 miles. The only thing that has a slight squeak (and rarely at that) is the roof, since I have the coupe with the targa top.

Now there's an argument I can use!
