Q&A: Real life TT vs C4S experience Please
#19
So far the responces have been very detailed so there is not much to ad. I switched from 996 C4S to 997tt about 4000 miles ago. The 20% more you pay $$$ gives back 100% more excitement. 275 vs 500 ft lb torque in my case. I was hell bent on a GT3/or GT3 RS but it only has 300 ft lb torque. If you like torque the 997tt is fantastic-as has been said... quite addictive-well you have been warned!

I drove a TT w/x50 package , 996 c4s, and boxterS back to back. TT by far put the biggest smile on my face. Going from the 996 c4s to the TT was equal to going from BoxterS to 996 C4s. Like said before it is preference and what you feel comfortable spending. Y
Your test drive will be the only way you can make your decision.

Put your foot all the way down on a TT and you'll have your answer.
Also, as TT Surgeon mentioned, when you option out a C4S with full leather, Bose stereo, and the other options that come standard on a TT, you're not that far off from a TT.
Once you drive the Turbo, you'll be hooked.

i have had a 996c4s and a 996tt, then i later bought a 997tt after i had a 997c4s (i was waiting for my turbo to come in) as everyone says, a c4s fells like a turbo, but without the acceleration. after i had the 996tt, and i was driveing the 4s, waiting for my 997tt to come in, i would push down on the accererator and miss the 130 extra hp, not to mention the extra torque. that, in my opinion, is the basic difference between the 2, as far as driver feel. if you would speak of a 997s versus a 997tt, then you would be switching from the light sportscar feel of the 997s and be changeing to the heavier feel of the turbo. there are some people who perfer that lighter 997s feel and would give up the power to get that feel.
