Default Rear Seat Back Removal

For those of you without kids and who require additional luggage space its easy to remove the rear seat backs. Directions follow:
1. Just below the seat back on the outboard side is a small plastic cover. Take a medium size flat blade screw driver and pop it off.
2. Underneath is a bolt head that requires a 8mm spline bit. Remove this bolt.
3. Pull the seat back straight up about one inch. This detaches the outboard side of the seat from its retainer.
4.Now pull the seat away from its center pivot point. There is a pin that goes about two inches into the seat back which requires pulling the seat outboard and towards the front of the car at the same time to detach it.

Total time to remove one seat back was six minutes. My dealer quoted me
$125.00 !!!!
