Default Winter wheels/tires

So I'm looking on Tire Rack to get a set of winter wheels & snow tires for the TT. They list a 18" wheel/tire package for the 2007 TT with 18x8.5 and 235/40/18 front, and 18x10, 265/40/18 rear. They don't list the '08 TT in their "upgrade garage" at all, and on the phone they state that this may be because of fittment issues (such as a change in fender liners or something) so they haven't beeen able to confirm proper fittment on the '08. My dealer's service dept says they don't know of any difference in the 2 MY's. Does anyone here have different info? I want to pull the trigger before everything is sold out for the season. BTW, the tires I'm looking at are Conti WinterContact TS810S. Anybody have experience with them? Other preferences?

Thanks.

I had a set of the Contiwintercontact 810S for my C2S and have just purchased a set of 19" Contiwintercontact 810S for my OEM turbo wheels. IMHO, they are an excellent winter tire. My C2S never had any problem with grip even in the bitterest cold and up to 2-4" of snow/ice. Plus, they are, by far, the most reasonably priced and widely available "N" approved snow tire.

The 18" wheel package should fit fine as long as the offset is correct for a wide body (turbo) 911 and you have the standard brakes...not the PCCBs.

Where'd you find the C4S wheels, Chris? I looked on Ebay recently & didn't find any. Perhaps you'd PM me with some of the details?
