Default Toluene vs. Xylene

Toluene RON is 114, Xylene is 117. Toluene price is 10% more expensive than xylene.
Is Xylene more cost efficient as octane booster?
Why is toluene more popular to use as octane booster?

xylene is very, very toxic. Toluene is also very readily available from places like Sherwin Williams

Assuming you can find a station close by, racing fuel would be my choice - why try to mix your own?. In Denver, 100 octane unleaded can be found.

Xylene and toulene: baaaaaaad *** solvents. I'm just an amateur but I'm wondering how much damage will be suffered by rubber hoses and seals.
