Default 997 GT3 crash.

Yikes! I've been in a crash at the track, not my car, but this video is a pretty accurate portrayal of how it feels. I would have been screaming expletives at the point where he lost control.

ouch, but I had to say, it was pretty cool to see him put the helmet cam on the seat facing the door and then the video ended right after he closes it, almost like a TV show producer would do to end a program.

I'm not sure how they run track events over seas, but the 2nd biggest mistake he made (next to what caused the accident) was getting out of the car while the track was still hot. Never get out of the car until the safety crew gets to you (unless it is on fire).

Never lift in any 911, but I believe at the Spa you're not even required to wear a helmet and I'm sure any other 'safety rules' are also vague.

Ec, I'm with you...

I watched the video about five times trying to figure out where his problem started. I couldn't figure it out.. His early Apex was the latter part of the problem, but he was already knee deep in it.

Then, I turned up my sound and watched it again. Listening to his engine says it all. He could have stabilized the car by adding throttle. But coasting through that turn was a big mistake..
He also never took his eyes off that big red and white barrier.

But let it be said, things can, will and do happen at the track..
At least he was cool enough to share the video so we can all learn from it.

A helmet is NOT required on open lapping days on the 'ring or monza, I thought spa was the same.

Is that yellow deviating stitching on his door panels? Nice.
