European Delivery Route
OK, I have a challenging question for my fellow Rennlisters- our European buddies and others who may have picked up their Porsche at the factory. I'm picking up a 997 Turbo the last week in June and would like to do a 7-10 day drive around before coming home. My college age son will be backpacking around Europe for the month preceeding and we'll wash him up and do the father and son cruise around...where? I'm an avid photographer (Leica M8, etc) and will be looking for photo ops. Ideally, we would like to drive 4-6 hours a day and end up somewhere nice for the evening, wake up and do it again the next day. Where should we go? Italy, Switzerland, the Alps. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I know we can't see everything...

I went west thru the Black Forest then south into Switzerland. Lorach was the first town I stayed in, very nice. Then to Lucerne ( Mt. Pilatus). Then to Interlaken, next Grindelwald near the Jungfrau and Eiger peaks. Then northeast towards Lake Constance(Bodensee) by Liechtenstein then across Southern Germany to Fussen (Neuschwanstein Castle) eventually going to Munich, Augsburg, Rain au Lech back to Sttugart. You can really haul *** and the scenery is unbelievable. Call me if you like. I have picked several turbos there. Dick 757-615-1570

Carcam, I picked up my car on a European Delivery too.
I did a little european loop and loved it.
Stuttgart to Konstanz (border of Germany and Switzerland)
Konstanz to Innsbruck (Austria)
Innsbruck to Bellagio (Italy, and easily the most picturesque place on earth)
Bellagio to Monte-Carlo (have to drive where the F1's race)
Monte-Carlo to Nice (35 minutes) where I put the car on a train to Paris.
TGV train to Paris (high speed train)
Paris to Stuttgart
