Anyone know why Porsche (USA) has discontinued offering the option of painting wheels the exterior color? From what I can see on Porsche's websites in other countries, it's still available. The dealership (Brumos in Jacksonville, FL) from which I'm purchasing the car will paint the wheels for $1200 ($90 less than the pricing of the option when it was available).

Already place the order (should take delivery about April 39) for Carrara White...so unless Porsche USA reinstitutes the wheel painting quickly, the dealership will do it.

Generally this reflects some growing pains issues with their vendors. They have to revise the order pages periodically until the process is really into place. It's a part of the Just-In-time process,--early orders may never see the number of options that can become available in the 2nd or 3rd model year of a car.

Things may work out for the best as the dealership will paint only the dark grey portions of the wheels Carrara White leaving the chrome portions as is giving the wheels what I think will be quite a distinctive appearance. I'm pretty psyched about it...
