Incredible video! What an experience to drive a Turbo on the Texas Motor Speedway.

My immediate reaction was that the smooth, quiet Porsche was leaving the loud cars way behind

What speeds did you achieve on the straights at that big track?

I just use vinyl stickers cut at the print shop. Cheap enough and easy to apply/remove. Most people end up taping their magnetic ones on anyway so I don't see the point of using them

The car hits 140 at the Start/Finish line in the midpoint of the straight, and +/- 160mph at the end of the straight. That is SuperCup car speeds and 25-30 mph more than my 300 hp E36M3, 15--20 mph more than my 380hp 944 turbo

Wow - those are speeds most of us never will see in our cars. Getting on a track that like is the way to go.

Is the Turbo still accelerating well at the 160 mph mark when you have to brake?

The car is just starting to hit the sweet spot in 6th at that point and pulling hard. I have to brake hard and then turn into 1 and then brake immediately again. I can feel my nads trying to retract back into my abdomen at that point.

in 2004 I did the annual PCA parade DE at the texas speedway in the boxster and the best I could do was about 120-125mph on the straight. It must be a lot of fun doing 160 there.
After this clip I can't wait to take the TT to the track.
