hey man,

which tires did you go with? the 355 pirelli's? or the 325 Conti's?

the Conti's ride pretty nice, and don't look as tall as the 355's (remember the silver one with the cocoa interior that used to be parked at the showroom, and then was featured in EVO magazine recently? that had the 355's), but they're not very grippy.

i checked the treadwear rating, and the Conti VMAX's are a very high 280!!! Pirelli's are 220, same as MPS2's...

I went for the conti's for now, shouldn't that tread wear rating indicate it is grippier? i.e softer compound

LOWER the number, softer the compound, my friend.

to wit:

280 - Conti VMAX
220 - P-Zero, Bridgestone S03, Michelin PS2
180 - Yoko Neova
160 - Yoko A046 (OEM tires on Evo's and only available in Evo sizes)
140 - Bridgestone RE01-R
80 - Michelin Pilot Sport Cups
60 - Yoko A032/38/48, Bridgestone RE55s
40 - Hoosier A6/R6
00 - BF Goodrich drag radials

i'm guessing that the VMAX's have to be quite tough, as a flipside to their being the only tires officially rated safe to 360kmh

(which incidentally is 3kmh SHORT of your car's top speed)

cheers!

Leon

Be interested in any comments/feeback you could offer on the reason for the CGT having Ohlins fitted. Also if they have altered anything on the alignment front?

Cheers
