Only 1 week with mine so far. Here's my list:

Likes

- best 911 turbo yet
- it's a practical supercar

(Minor) Dislikes

- Turbo lag (VTG is overhyped)
- Price (and the outrageous premium Porsche charges for Canadian dollar exchange)
- Tiny gas tank
- Navi - no touch screen and no blue tooth
- front turn signals
- no longer king of the hill

Default after 6 months and 6K miles....

The car continues to astound me - the security and poise in all situations on the road is second to none. Having owned two 996tt's, I am convinced that the 997tt is a significantly better car.

Likes: power, brakes, steering, handling, grip, ride quality and overall poise - this is the "king of the road".

dislike: engine and exhaust sound (but they've gotten better as the mile add up)

A good exhaust and flash, +/- anything on the intake and you'll take care of the first and last gripe.

7 weeks and just loving this car - no real complaints just pettty cribbing.

- No Bluetooth or factory ipod integration
- long front overhang requires careful planning for entry and exit of certain inclines
- After a wash, water sits in the most annoying places. I have a black car so you figure out the rest
- Can I request a new NAV voice
- 3,000km break-in - I don't seem to be getting any closer

there's several options for changing the nav voice prompts. check out page 160 in the manual. i didn't read the manual but the saleperson at pfaff ran through the pcm settings.

Anyone switched over from a C4S? It's getting mighty tempting for me now, but I'm still on the fence as how much of an improvement it would be.

I had a C4S Cab.

This is much better. I miss the open top, but that's what the 430 is for.

yeah-i had a 2006 997 c4s. before that i had an 03 996tt, and for the last month, have had a guards red 997tt. obviously, i would rather have the 997tt than the 997c4s. i am certainly not a race car driver. to me, the 997tt feels like a c4s with alot more acceleration. i think that the 997 is a big improvement over the 996, and when i got my 997c4s, i felt that it handled way sharper than my 996tt. if you look at the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, the 997c4s is about as quick as the 03 turbo. the 997 interior is, in my opinion, a great improvement over the 996. i was very impressed with the 997c4s interior, when i compared it to the 996tt. why did i trade my 997c4s for a 997tt?-i wanted to have the newest and greatest, and the new turbo is just that. it is significantly quicker than the 996tt, and it has all of the improvements that the 997 has over the 996. in the real world, though, if you already have a 997c4s, you have a car that is about as quick, under 100 mph, as a 996tt. i had paid 91k for a brand new 102k msrp 997c4s. my new 997tt cost 126k. what i am saying is that for 25k less, the 997c4s will give you the same interior (my c4s had the tpms, nav, bose, leather, sport exhaust) as the turbo, and similar handling. yes, the turbo has more acceleration, but it will cost you 25 more k. i don't regret getting the turbo, but if you already have a well optioned 997 c4s, you already have one hell of a car. the extra 25 k is going to buy you alot of potential that alot of us never or can't use in the real world. i enjoy my turbo, and i enjoy having it, but i could also see why someone with a well optioned 997 c4s chose to keep that and not get the turbo-hope that helps

The 997C4S did run the 'ring faster than the 996TT x50 FWIW.
I agree with the other Doc, if you've got a nice 997S, might want to rethink the TT unless you just gotta have it!
My 996C4S has 58k miles and is ready to retire and make room for the new TT.
